Hi, My name is Millie. I was born with cystinuria. I had surgery when I was 17 months old and since then , I have had 5 more. In 2000, I had a Percutaneous Nephrostolithotomy done. The stone was the size of a walnut. In the last five months I have passed 35 stones. I have two brothers that have stones also and one of them had a kidney transplant in January 2003. He is in great health and has his life back again. My other brother is not doing so good, his two kidneys are full of stones. He has had his share of surgeries. He also had a PCN done in 2003 & 2002. I have been taking cuprime for the last 27 years and Slow K for the last 3 years. I have cut down on protein and sodium and drink lots of water. Have a great day.:)

Hello Millie, welcome to the group!! Sounds like you and your brothers have been through quite a few cystinuria experiences!

May i ask how the combination of cuprime, "Slow K", low protein, low sodium, and lots of water works for managing your stones? Is it effective?

Thanks for finding our group here, and we look forward to hearing more from you in the future!
Kind Regards,
Matt Lewis
