Just curious what's a good in-home painkiller that your doctor's prescribe?

My doctors have no sympathy for me... and consider me to be another teenager trying to take advantage of the system... and my family is convinced the same.
The only person who has shown sympathy for me is my radiologist, who realizes I have hundreds of "pepper-sized" kidney stones in each kidney, and how much pain they can cause. I seem to be a quarry and pass them on a daily basis.

All I'm given is Tylenol 2's. I take 3 when I need it. They control the mild fevers and some swelling/bloating, but the pain, nausea, and all else remains untouched. At least I don't have any side effects from taking them.

I'm not a druggie, and I only take pills if I absolutely need it. But the past 3 weeks have been rough, there have been moments when I'm crippled over in pain. Let's face it, Tylenol just doesn't cut it.
Any suggestions on how I can beg to my doctors about getting something stronger? And anything I can do or take that could ease up a bit on the pain? Any advice would be appreciated. :o

The pain meds that are being used more often are systemic like Torodol, where they are taken even before pain starts so it will reach a certain level in
your body so it will be working by the time pain starts. I think the downside
is that they are only used for like three weeks. It might be something to ask
your docs about or ask Dr. Goldfarb what he recommends too.
