I was searching through some public information sources to include in the "links and resources" page (currently under construction) when i came across this project, headed by PI William Gitomer at the University of Texas S.W. Med Ctr/Dallas
Southwestern Medical Ctr. Check it out! All four of their goals show incredible ambition in making leaps and bounds in the study ("aim #1-3") and treatment ("aim #4") of cystinuria. It sounds very exciting, and very promising.
Here's the link:
http://commons.cit.nih.gov/crisp3/CRISP_LIB.getdoc?textkey=6564153&p_grant_num=5P01DK020543-250022&p_query=(Cystinuria)&ticket=1925294&p_audit_session_id=9459497&p_audit_score=100&p_audit_numfound=1&p_keywords=Cystinuria
Or, since that link might be subject to change or not work, you can simply visit the CRISP database at https://www-commons.cit.nih.gov/crisp/ (soon to be linked on the "links and resources" page, search for "cystinuria", and click on the MOLECULAR GENETIC BASIS OF CYSTINURIA project title.
All credit to Dr. Gitomer, of course, and Godspeed!
